Eastern Kern County is fortunate to be served by Kern Animal Emergency and Urgent Care, an AAHA-accredited emergency animal facility. For those of you that are not already aware, emergency animal medical facilities are specially equipped, and the staff all have a special interest in animal emergency medicine.
Kern Animal Emergency and Urgent Care has been in operation since 1976. Dr Katherine Ratliff assumed ownership in 1983. The facility has modern, up-to-date diagnostic, supportive, medical, and surgical equipment, much of it specifically for the treatment and care of catastrophic animal emergencies. Kern Animal Emergency and Critical Care is an AAHA-accredited animal emergency care hospital.
